In a remarkable moment captured on video, a leopard in South Africa’s Kruger National Park was seen teaching her cubs a vital life lesson: how to cross a busy road safely.
The footage, shared by Latest Sightings, shows the mother leopard cautiously stepping onto the road to ensure safety before calling her two cubs to follow her.

One of the cubs hesitated and needed more encouragement, crying out for its mother as she patiently waited for it to cross. The scene was filmed by Thinus Delport, who remarked on the rarity of witnessing such behavior.
“This was an extremely rare sighting, and you don’t often get to see a leopard mother relocate her cubs when they are still so young,” Delport told Latest Sightings. He added that he had never seen anything like it in more than 50 years of visiting the park.
The footage’s exact filming date is unclear, as the park had been closed to tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it was shared online last week.

Despite the uncertainty about the timing, the video provides a touching reminder of wild animals’ instincts and behaviors.
In the video description, Latest Sightings referred to the caged cats featured in the popular Netflix series “Tiger King,” stating that the footage is “in honor of all the animals that are locked up in cages when they should be in the wild.”
