Meet Toptyzhka: The Adventure-Loving Bear Exploring Novosibirsk

Last Update:

In Russia, an adventurous Himalayan bear named Toptyzhka has found an unusual mode of transportation. His human friend, 24-year-old Veronika Dichka, chauffeured the bear around Novosibirsk.

Toptyzhka doesn’t just enjoy city drives; he also accompanies Dichka on trips to forests and fields, where he can climb trees and roam freely.

A large bear is traveling in style, being driven around the Russian city of Novosibirsk by its human companion.

The bear never travels in a cage and always takes the passenger seat in the car.

Dichka shares that Toptyzhka is well-behaved during rides, although he occasionally fiddles with the seatbelt.

The curious bear is also fascinated by the car’s steering wheel and delights in switching the lights on and off with his nose. Toptyzhka’s curious nature makes him an enthusiastic traveler.

Toptyzhka’s owner, Maya Kirsanova, needed assistance caring for the bear, so Dichka stepped in. Since then, she has spent nearly every day with the gentle giant.

Dichka is no stranger to bears; she rescued one from a safari park in 2019. When asked if she fears bears, she responds, “On the contrary, I feel safe with Toptyzhka.”

‘He is an inquisitive bear, and the main thing he was interested in was the steering wheel,’ Dichka said to her travel buddy.

‘I am often asked if I am afraid of bears, but I would say, on the contrary, I feel safe with Toptyzhka,’ Dichka said.

While cruising around, Toptyzhka enjoys looking out the window, playing with his seatbelt, and turning the car’s lights off and on with his nose.
