In central Poland, the owner of a private zoo is overjoyed with the arrival of three rare white lion cubs, who are receiving tender care from their mother.
Andrzej Pabich, the head of the Borysew Zoo, expressed his gratitude for this rare occurrence, emphasizing the challenges often faced with white lion births, including defects or maternal rejection, making the birth of triplets especially remarkable.

White lions, a color mutation of the Kruger subspecies of African lion, are exceptionally rare, with only around 90 known to exist worldwide, primarily in wildlife reserves in South Africa and zoos.
Pabich shared that his two ½-year-old lioness Azira has been dutifully nurturing and feeding the cubs since their birth on January 28, with their father, three ½-year-old Sahim, keeping a watchful eye from a neighboring enclosure.
Despite initial concerns, the birth proceeded smoothly, with Azira proving to be a devoted mother, ensuring the well-being of her offspring.

The zoo plans to name the cubs once they have matured and can be appropriately identified by gender.
Visitors can expect to see the cubs venturing into an outdoor habitat come April, providing an enchanting sight for guests.
Established in 2008, the Borysew zoo boasts a diverse collection of animals, including white tigers and white camels, attracting 160,000 visitors last year alone.
