One of the lions latched onto the giraffe with its teeth and claws, hanging on for over two minutes before retreating to attempt a final strike.

Despite suffering a deep leg wound that caused significant bleeding, the giraffe fought back fiercely, kicking at the lions for more than four hours. Eventually, the predators abandoned their hunt and fled.

The extraordinary encounter was captured by safari guide Emily Whiting, who expressed her astonishment, stating that she had “never seen anything like it.”
