In Southern California, a small gray-and-white dog was found alone in a school parking lot, refusing to leave the spot where she was abandoned. The faithful pup seemed to be waiting daily for weeks in hopes her previous owners might return, unaware that they had left her behind for good.
During this time, many locals attempted to help the dog, sharing her photo across social media platforms to locate her family. However, the little dog remained unclaimed, shunning anyone who tried to approach her. That is, until a woman named Suzette Hall stepped in.

Suzette, who runs Logan’s Legacy animal rescue in Irvine, California, felt compelled to assist the dog after learning about her plight. She drove to the school and devised a plan to rescue the timid dog using a humane trap with a hot dog as bait. Although neighbors had been feeding her kibble, the hot dog proved irresistible, and Suzette successfully captured the scared pup.
In Suzette’s care, the dog eventually relaxed and fell asleep in the car. Suzette decided to name her “Scarlet” and took her to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine for a thorough check-up. With a clean bill of health, Scarlet was ready for the next step.

Scarlet found temporary solace with a foster family, where she was welcomed into a home full of other dogs to play with. Although she is thriving in her new environment, Scarlet is still in search of a permanent, loving home. Known for her calm and friendly nature, she is likely to adapt easily to a new family.
The only requirement Suzette insists upon for those hoping to adopt Scarlet is that she must never be abandoned again. Scarlet’s future should be filled with love and stability, something Suzette is determined to ensure. We hope that Scarlet soon discovers her perfect forever home, where she can experience the love and care she deserves.
