Liam Thompson, a popular YouTuber from Auckland, New Zealand, has captured the hearts of over 1.86 million subscribers with his quirky and entertaining videos.
Many of these feature his loyal labradoodle, Max, and his distinguished senior cat, Frodo.
Thompson, now 21 years old, is known for his joyous antics, one of which involved celebrating his milestone of a million subscribers by presenting Max with a towering pile of dog food.
In another memorable video, he taught Max to bow and interact gently with Frodo.

When Frodo turned 18 and started moving slower, Thompson dedicated himself to making life more comfortable for the feline.
His first attempt was transforming a Roomba into a mobile platform for Frodo, but this creation had its limitations. Undeterred, Thompson dreamt up a robotic train system that navigated via colorful tape tracks.
The innovative system began at Frodo’s bed and offered three paths: a blue track led to Thompson’s room, the green track guided Frodo to his food bowl, and the red track took him to the door leading outside.
These simple routes encompass the entirety of Frodo’s world, according to Thompson.

Thompson hand-crafted a wooden carriage for Frodo, painting it a regal purple for the elder cat, affectionately referred to as “his lordship.”
Though not perfectly engineered, it was a labor of love. With Frodo settled into his carriage, the train began its gentle journey.
Thompson encouraged Frodo to explore, and the cat cooperated, contentedly eating once they arrived at his destination—a success that filled Thompson with joy.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Thompson recently embarked on a new project for Frodo, who has now reached the impressive age of 20.
He noticed the orange feline’s daily routine of descending a steep staircase to reach his sunny spot by the pool. To help Frodo with this, Thompson dreamed up an elevator.

Returning to his woodworking roots, Thompson constructed an innovative lift system using sliding door rails and an electric hoist.
After testing the prototype with a stuffed animal named Jimbo, he perfected the design, prioritizing safety. With a fresh coat of blue paint, the lift was ready for its first passenger.
The elevator proved successful, smoothly transporting Frodo to his favorite sunbathing location.
Thompson’s excitement was palpable as he declared, “This is the greatest day of my life!” As Frodo enjoyed his sunspot, it was clear all Thompson’s hard work had paid off.

The return trip up the stairs was equally joyous, with Thompson exclaiming, “I am absolutely fizzing right now,” as he operated the elevator.
Despite jokingly wishing for a robotic attendant, Thompson relishes the fun and joy these imaginative projects bring, both for him and his viewing audience.
