Tortilla, a charming calico cat with a unique feature, has successfully found her forever home. At 13 years old, Tortilla’s life took a drastic turn when she was discovered alone in an apartment following the unfortunate passing of her owner.
After being taken to a local shelter, Tortilla awaited her next chance. The shelter staff alerted the rescue community about her situation, and The Odd Cat Sanctuary responded promptly.
“She was so sweet, purring, head-butting, and just wanted love,” Tara, the sanctuary’s founder, told Love Meow.

Tortilla’s permanently protruding tongue quickly became her endearing trait. It is suspected she was born with this charming characteristic, which made her all the more adorable.
The sanctuary found Tortilla a foster home right away, giving her a comfortable environment to adapt while they began searching for her permanent family.
As Tortilla explored her new surroundings, her affectionate nature soon shone through, and the room was filled with the sound of her content purring.

Tortilla bonded closely with her foster mom, following her diligently around the house, and playfully supervising her activities.
With her tongue-out expression, she was always on the lookout, spreading warmth with her purrs. “She is loving, hysterical, quirky, and playful. She enjoys snuggling and doing funny things to make her mom smile,” Tara shared with Love Meow.
As she settled in, Tortilla was introduced to the other pets in the household. She quickly befriended the resident cats and a dog, showering them with affection and relishing their company.

Despite her age, Tortilla remains youthful, demonstrating her lively spirit by rolling on her back and energetically waving her paws. Her foster family grew more enamored with her each day.
While Tortilla’s entry into foster care was meant as a temporary stop, it soon became clear she had already found her perfect match.
Her foster family couldn’t resist her charm and decided to officially welcome her as a permanent member of the family.

Now, Tortilla enjoys life with her human companions, two feline sisters, and a canine brother. It seems she’s found her happily ever after.
