Scarlett Johansson, 38, made a dazzling appearance at the launch of her skincare brand, The Outset, at Nordstrom in New York City on Wednesday.
Co-founded with entrepreneur Kate Foster last year, the brand aims to offer ‘clean, gentle, and effective’ skincare products.
Johansson entered the event wearing a stylish gray tweed suit by Mango, complete with a matching vest and a crisp white undershirt.
A pair of black mules complemented her look, and her hair was pulled back into a sleek bun. She accessorized with green hoop earrings and gold chain necklaces, exuding a chic and elegant vibe.
An Exclusive Event and New Product Launch
Johansson and Foster spoke to attendees about The Outset’s products at the event, focusing on the brand’s commitment to vegan and cruelty-free skincare.
The exclusive event, which included a masterclass for select customers, marked a significant day for The Outset, as the products are now available in Nordstrom stores across the United States and online.
A clip posted on The Outset’s Instagram page shows Johansson and Foster exploring the Nordstrom NYC store and discovering their brand’s display. Their excitement was palpable as they admired the fully stocked end cap.
The Outset’s product line includes a variety of items designed to address different skincare needs, such as the Exfoliating Caffeine Micro Polish, a restorative niacinamide night cream, a smoothing vitamin C eye and expression lines cream, a gentle micellar antioxidant cleanser, a firming vegan collagen prep serum, and a nourishing squalane daily moisturizer.
Scarlett’s Personal Journey with Skincare
Johansson has been open about her struggles with acne in her twenties, which motivated her to create a skincare line.
In an interview with PEOPLE, she recalled how acne breakouts affected her self-esteem while filming movies, leading her to hide her blemishes even before entering the makeup chair.
This personal experience influenced her decision to focus on creating gentle yet effective products.
