Scarlett Johansson stole the spotlight at the 8th Annual Rome Film Festival on Sunday evening, where she attended the premiere of her new film, “Her.”
The 28-year-old actress donned a Roman-inspired mini-dress to reflect the historic setting of the event at Sala Santa Cecilia in Rome.
The sleeveless dress was adorned with Roman imagery and a floral pattern that added a vibrant splash of color.
Scarlett completed her ensemble with gold strappy sandals, which she showcased as she walked the red carpet and greeted co-star Joaquin Phoenix. The two actors shared a warm embrace before posing for photos.
Joaquin Phoenix, the leading man in “Her,” took a more casual approach, wearing an ill-fitting black suit with two-tone baseball boots.
Despite his laid-back style, he and Scarlett enjoyed the photo call and engaged in friendly banter on the red carpet.
In “Her,” Scarlett lends her voice to the film, while Joaquin plays Theodore Twombly, a man who develops a romantic relationship with a computer operating system’s voice.
The film, directed by Spike Jonze, also features performances from Amy Adams, Olivia Wilde, and Rooney Mara, who was also present at the premiere.
The Rome Film Festival, which kicked off on Friday, will feature screenings of other significant films, including the latest installment of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” starring Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence. The festival is set to conclude on November 17.
