Scarlett Johansson and her fiancé, Colin Jost, have traded the fast-paced life of New York City for a more relaxed setting in The Hamptons, seeking some respite amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The couple, who left the city on Monday, seemed to enjoy the slower pace as they picked up takeaway food and drinks on Wednesday.
Dressed for comfort, Johansson wore a cozy brown wool coat and loose, distressed jeans. She completed her casual look with a black-and-white scarf, beanie, sunglasses, and Gucci espadrilles, priced at $520.
Jost matched her laid-back style, opting for a white T-shirt under a khaki jacket, jeans, and a red beanie. Together, they returned to their Hamptons home carrying brown paper bags and beverages.
The pair have been dating since 2017, and their stay in The Hamptons comes as Saturday Night Live (SNL), where Jost, a writer and cast member, is temporarily on hiatus.
Originally scheduled to resume March 28, the show’s return has been postponed to April due to the pandemic. John Krasinski was set to host, with Dua Lipa as the musical guest.
Johansson’s upcoming film Black Widow has also been affected, with Disney announcing on Tuesday that the movie’s May 1, 2020, release date will be postponed.
This is part of a broader pause on various Disney and Marvel projects, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision.
Production halts have extended across the entertainment industry, affecting titles like The Handmaid’s Tale, Peaky Blinders, Stranger Things, and talk shows including The Ellen Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As of Wednesday, the U.S. has recorded over 3,200 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 115 deaths reported across the country.
