An orange-cream cat, once left to fend for himself on a busy street, faced an uncertain future after being cast out of his home.
Despite enduring neglect and hardship, he remained gentle and affectionate, holding onto hope that someone would offer him the care he desperately needed.

Rebekkah, a volunteer with Little Wanderers NYC, encountered the friendly stray while feeding local street cats.
Thin and frail, he approached her, clearly starving and in need of help. Life on the streets had been particularly harsh for the cat, later named Dreamsicle. He had faced hunger, bullying from other cats, and relentless struggles to survive.

Recognizing that Dreamsicle wasn’t meant for street life, Rebekkah’s parents stepped in to temporarily care for him until a long-term foster could be arranged.
When Rebekkah picked him up, he was too weak to resist, but as soon as he entered the house, his spirit began to revive.
Hearing the pop of a cat food can, Dreamsicle came alive. He eagerly devoured several cans of food before falling into a deep sleep that lasted almost an entire day.

As days passed, his personality blossomed. Dreamsicle quickly transformed into a sociable and playful companion.
“He is a chatterbox and a love bug,” Rebekkah shared. “He craves attention and cuddles, loves exploring, and enjoys showing off his belly.”
Gail, another volunteer, offered her home as a foster for Dreamsicle, determined to pamper him as he adapted to indoor life.

Dreamsicle thrived in his new environment, discovering the joys of toys, cozy spots for sunbathing, and warm naps on a soft chair.
In addition to his love for humans, Dreamsicle formed bonds with other cats, often rolling onto his back in playful attempts to win them over.
Recently, he even mastered fetch, eagerly bringing toys back to his foster mom to keep the game going.

“Everyone who meets him is inspired by his resilience and joy despite his rough past,” Nora from Little Wanderers NYC said.
Thanks to the kindness of his rescuers, Dreamsicle’s life has taken a complete turn. Now healthy, happy, and thriving, he’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue spreading love and joy.
