After nearly two decades, Midnight the Cat remains playful and has finally found his dream home.
He started his journey as a mouser when he was discovered by a compassionate woman who took care of community cats near her building about 18 years ago. Midnight’s friendly demeanor quickly won her over, and she welcomed him into her home.

Their time together lasted until the woman retired and moved to live with her family in another state, leaving Midnight behind.
Fortunately, Fior, a foster volunteer with Little Wanderers NYC, learned about Midnight’s situation and invited him into her home.

In his new, quiet environment, Midnight’s gentle nature flourished. He became a constant companion, following his foster family around and enjoying every moment of affection.
Despite his age and some health challenges, Midnight’s playful spirit remained unbroken. Whenever he spotted his favorite toy, he would act, showcasing his youthful exuberance as he indulged in the instinctual joy of chasing.
Fior kept him active and healthy, understanding that Midnight was not fond of solitude. He yearned for a loving home to enjoy his later years.

His chance finally arrived when a vet technician met him and was immediately enchanted by his sweet disposition and soft gaze. She recognized his needs and determined to provide him with a loving forever home.
Last month, Midnight’s wish came true. Little Wanderers NYC shared the good news: “He will continue to be well-loved, just the way he deserves.”
He moved in with his new family and quickly claimed his cozy spot in a Winnie the Pooh-themed bed, where he enjoys lounging comfortably.

In addition to his skills as a mouser, Midnight has mastered the art of relaxation, often seen tucking his paws neatly as he sits. He loves to follow his new family around, seeking warmth in soft blankets and sunbeams.
Each morning, he greets the day with stretches and affectionate nudges, basking in love from his humans before returning to his favorite napping spots.
Midnight thrives in his new life, soaking up the sunlight and occasionally jumping into action when a wand toy appears.

His joyful personality shines through as he seeks closeness with his family, purring softly and nudging for attention.
“Look at those incredible eyes. One wants to give him a big hug and kiss,” shared the vet tech who helped him find his new home.
These days, Midnight enjoys plenty of restful moments, often snuggled up with his new feline companion, Miss Tabby.

Together, they share the big bed, soaking up warmth from the sun and celebrating their special bond.
At 18 years old, Midnight continues to embody the spirit of a kitten, relishing quiet afternoons in the sun while exhibiting bursts of playful energy.
With constant companionship in his golden years, he is overjoyed to have a place he can truly call home.
