Patrick Conley was enjoying peaceful moments on his porch when he got some unexpected guests: a wild bear and her two cubs.
Patrick’s home is near a dense forest, and it’s not unusual for him to see wildlife, but this particular encounter was a bit more personal.

The bear, known as Simone, has been visiting Patrick’s home for a while, bringing her cubs Milo and Luca along. Simone seems to trust Patrick, knowing he means no harm.
Simone and Milo climbed onto Patrick’s porch one day, but Luca had trouble. The little cub stumbled down the stairs, prompting Patrick to open the door and let him in.
With the whole family on the porch, Simone turned her attention to a bird feeder hanging from the ceiling, pulling on it so hard that the string snapped, sending treats spilling onto the ground.
While Simone ate from the scattered treats, the cubs wandered around the porch, getting comfortable.
After they had their fill, Simone stood at the edge of the porch, seemingly taking in the surroundings. Eventually, she climbed down and headed toward the main yard, looking for more food.
Her exploration took her under an old bridge and to another house, but she soon decided it was time to head back to the forest with her cubs.
Although Simone and her cubs seemed safe around Patrick, she wasn’t ready to take risks with other humans.
So, after her brief adventure, she led her cubs back into the forest, leaving Patrick to enjoy the rest of his day on the porch.
It was a memorable encounter that reminded him of the beauty and unpredictability of living near the wild.
