While GoPro cameras are usually employed to capture exhilarating outdoor adventures, one snowmobiler’s attempt to record his snowy escapades went awry when he lost his GoPro in the snow.
The camera remained lost for months until an archery hunter named Dylan Schilt stumbled upon it during his outdoor adventure. What he found on the camera left him in awe.

Curious about what the lost GoPro might contain, Dylan charged it and checked the footage. To his surprise, the recorded content was from a bear’s perspective.
It seemed that the curious creature not only found the camera but also turned it on and inadvertently started filming itself.

The footage includes close-up shots of the bear’s mouth as it attempts to eat the GoPro. The camera also captures the bear pawing when it’s not busy gnawing at it.
These playful interactions give a unique perspective into the bear’s world and its reactions to the unfamiliar device.
The bear’s unintentional filming even offers exciting shots of the surrounding environment, revealing that the furry videographer had a natural flair for capturing nature. When it wasn’t chewing on the camera, that is.

Dylan shared this unusual discovery on his Facebook page, writing: “After four months of sitting there, a big old black bear found it and not only managed to turn it on but also started recording himself playing with it.
Hands down, the craziest thing I’ve ever found!” His post quickly garnered attention, as it’s not every day that a hunter finds a GoPro with footage taken by wildlife.
For many hunters, exploring the outdoors brings the possibility of encountering amazing sights and creatures.

However, stumbling across a lost GoPro with bear-filmed footage takes that experience to a new level.
Dylan’s find is a delightful reminder of how curious animals can be about the technology we humans bring into their domain.
