A gray kitten was discovered curled up in a flower garden, and after being brought indoors, he quickly began to express his adorable personality.
Last weekend, Stephanie Grantham, the founder of Sparkle Cat Rescue, came across the little kitten at a veterinary clinic.

“He weighed only 1.46 pounds and was happily rolling around and showing off,” Stephanie told Love Meow.
Named Scrunkle, this kitten, estimated to be around 4-5 weeks old, had a difficult journey before finding refuge. It all started when Clara, an independent animal rescuer, received a call from her neighbor.

While mowing the lawn, the neighbor noticed a glimmer in his wife’s flower garden. Upon closer inspection, he found a small gray kitten gazing up at him with pleading eyes. This little stray had wandered the streets alone until he found his way into the neighbor’s yard.
Clara quickly arrived with a large crate, unsure of the kitten’s size or temperament. To her surprise, Scrunkle didn’t run away; instead, he welcomed her approach.
Clara gently scooped him from the flower bed and cradled him in her arms, where he immediately calmed down.

“She took the baby home, comforted him, and fed him. The next morning, she brought him to the clinic,” said Stephanie.
Scrunkle was delighted to receive attention, meowing eagerly until someone picked him up for cuddles.
Stephanie offered to take him to his new caregivers, Erin and Lauren, recognizing his need for a foster home.

“Scrunkle didn’t want to be in the carrier, so I held him in my lap, wrapped in a towel the whole time. All he wanted was snuggles,” she recounted.
Despite being flea-infested, dehydrated, and slightly lethargic, the kitten insisted on staying close to people. After receiving treatment and a good cleaning, he relaxed in a warm lap, purring contentedly.
“Within a few hours of drinking water, getting Nutrical, and eating a good meal, he was all settled in and doing well,” Stephanie added. As he recovered from his time on the streets, Scrunkle’s purring never ceased.

With proper care and plenty of love, Scrunkle is now flea-free, and his stomach issues are improving.
He has become increasingly affectionate, demanding cuddles and refusing to take no for an answer. “He’s just the snuggliest, sweetest little guy. He loves people and wants cuddles all day,” Erin shared.
As soon as his foster family enters the room, Scrunkle rushes to greet them, brushing his soft fur against their legs. When petted, he collapses into a purring heap, melting into sheer joy.

In just a few days of foster care, he has blossomed into a lovable companion and an enthusiastic purr machine.
Always seeking affection from the moment he wakes up, Scrunkle ensures he is surrounded by love.
“He adores being held and snuggled and is so sweet and cute,” his foster family remarked.
