Remember the heartwarming story of Fishtopher, the once-doleful cat whose pictures took the internet by storm? Well, this charming tabby has transitioned from viral fame to a happiness-filled life, surrounded by love in a forever home.
Fishtopher’s journey from sorrow to stardom began when his photo drew the adoration of social media users. With more than seventy-eight thousand followers on Twitter, he has captivated cat enthusiasts worldwide.
Fishtopher’s bio cheekily states, “saddy now a baddie living in MD,” showcasing his transformation and newfound zest for life.

Initially cared for by the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood, New Jersey, Fishtopher was described as a “Friendly, Affectionate, Gentle, and Quiet” cat.
Despite his sadness at the shelter, he exuded warmth, enjoying couch cuddles and the presence of other cats. The shelter staff noted, “Fishtopher is not a fish out of water, but he is out of sorts at the shelter.
He is very sad and depressed and will only eat when he has company.”
This big-hearted cat, believed to be missing his previous family, caught the attention of Laura Folts and her partner Tanner Callahan from Baltimore, Maryland.
Compelled by Fishtopher’s endearing face, they drove over a hundred miles to adopt him, ensuring he found a loving home.

Laura and Tanner’s friends encouraged them to share Fishtopher’s happy tale on social media. Embracing the idea, Laura started showcasing their feline friend’s antics online.
As Laura stated on Twitter, “I want to use this new audience to help other Fishtophers and give people fun cat photos of him chilling at home.”
Fishtopher’s rise to prominence highlights the many wonderful cats waiting for families, as Homeward Bound notes, “If you were interested in him, have no fear.

We have hundreds of other kitties who are just as wonderful and are wishing that people would come and stand in line for them.”
