The video shows Mike steadfastly leading the bear past the group’s setup, which included chairs and a TV until they reached the gate.
In a tense moment, the bear swiped at Mike’s side, leaving him bloodied. Unfazed, Mike pointed at the bear and firmly commanded it to go through the gap in the fence.

After successfully driving the bear out, Mike proudly revealed his injuries to his astonished friends, displaying two bloody marks on his side.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of bear encounters in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania, driven by recent food shortages. Last September, a hungry mother bear and her three cubs were recorded breaking into a home in Pocono Lake.
The bear family managed to climb through a window, ransack the fridge, and devour all the food before attempting to return the next day, only to be thwarted by locked windows and bear traps.

In another encounter in August, a Pennsylvania dad was knocked down by a bear in Montour County while filling his children’s pool. The bear, rummaging through the trash for food, bit the man on the head before fleeing the scene.
Authorities have been working to address these incidents. In the Pocono Lake case, a game warden successfully captured the mother bear and two of her cubs, relocating them to a sanctuary where they can be safely fed.
