What began as an ordinary day took a surprising turn when my friend made an unexpected discovery in a residential car park—a tiny puppy stuck under her car.
This wasn’t her dog, and she had no idea how it ended up there. The most likely explanation was heartbreaking: someone had abandoned the frightened and vulnerable pup, who sought refuge under the car, only to become trapped.

Unsure how to free the puppy, my friend called my husband for help. He tried his best to rescue her but soon realized he needed more expertise.
Together with a friend who is an engineer, they carefully worked on the car, removing parts to access the trapped pup. After 15 minutes of teamwork, they finally freed the little one.
We named her Colo and immediately took her to the vet for an assessment. Though terrified, Colo cooperated as the vet examined her.
Thankfully, she didn’t have any severe injuries, but she was suffering from a parasitic skin condition that required treatment. Efforts to locate her original owner were unsuccessful, and it became clear that Colo needed someone to care for her. So, I decided to welcome her into my growing family of rescues.
Caring for Colo was challenging at first. Her skin condition required multiple medical baths, regular checkups, and careful monitoring.
Despite her ordeal, Colo’s playful and curious nature quickly emerged. Her appetite grew steadily, and so did her energy. Each day, she became more confident and comfortable in her new environment.
Colo’s mischievous side soon became apparent. One day, she nearly got stuck again, proving her love for tight spots and hiding places. She also enjoyed basking in the sun, soaking up its warmth whenever she could. As her health improved and her energy soared, Colo began to thrive.
Within just a few days, Colo’s transformation was remarkable. The once-frightened puppy had blossomed into a lively and happy companion. Watching her recovery was an incredibly rewarding experience, reinforcing the importance of rescue work.
Colo’s playful antics and growing confidence have brought joy to my home. Her journey from abandonment and fear to love and security is a testament to the resilience of animals and the power of kindness.
Though her story began with uncertainty, Colo now has a bright future ahead, surrounded by love and care. Rescuing her has been a privilege, and I look forward to watching her flourish even more.
