A black bear in the Great Smoky Mountains recently decided to take some time out for relaxation, opting for a soak in a hot tub at a rental cabin.
The unexpected guest settled into the bubbling Jacuzzi for a spa-like experience, providing quite a sight for onlookers.

This playful black bear’s Jacuzzi moment was a rare sight, showcasing the more relaxed side of these usually forest-dwelling animals.
It’s not every day you see a bear indulging in such a human-like activity. Residents and tourists in the area might want to watch for similar wildlife encounters.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) notes that adult male black bears in the region can grow up to 7 feet long and weigh as much as 500 pounds.
Despite their size, these bears typically avoid humans, preferring to stay in their natural habitats.
However, with expanding human development and growing bear populations, interactions with people have become more frequent.
Although black bears are generally not aggressive toward humans, it’s important to remember that they are still wild animals and should not be approached, fed, or otherwise disturbed, even when enjoying a hot tub.
If you encounter a bear in the wild or at your vacation rental, it’s best to keep your distance and let them be.
The Great Smoky Mountains is home to various wildlife, and while a bear in a Jacuzzi may seem charming, safety should always be a top priority. Enjoy the beauty of these magnificent creatures, but do so from a safe distance.
