In a heartwarming tale of compassion, a farmer named Nikolay discovered a malnourished bear cub wandering through his village, seemingly searching for food.
Concerned for the cub’s well-being, Nikolay took it under his care, providing it with shelter, comfort, and nourishment on his farm.

Too young to survive on its own in the wild and deemed unfit for a zoo, the bear cub, named Vasilisa by the village committee, found an unlikely home with Nikolay.
Initially seeking advice from authorities, Nikolay was faced with grim options of euthanizing the cub or releasing it back into the wild, which would likely have led to its demise.

Despite efforts to locate the cub’s mother in nearby forests, no reunion was possible, prompting the village committee to grant Vasilisa legal residency and a name.
Looking ahead, Nikolay plans to construct a spacious enclosure for Vasilisa, complete with an observation area to monitor the cub’s growth and well-being.
