Jessica, known for rescuing dogs like Scooter, noticed that the little Chihuahua maintained a nightly ritual from his past life.

“When it’s bedtime… he still tucks himself in. I’ve tried to tuck him in, but he would rather do it himself. He has to get the covers just right. It’s adorable watching him,” she shared.

A New Chapter and Lasting Legacy

In his new home, Scooter enjoys companionship and displays a youthful spirit. Jessica mentioned that despite his age, Scooter loves sharing his bed with friends and often acts playfully.

Jessica’s prompt decision to adopt Scooter inspired many across the country. Numerous people reached out to her, expressing their willingness to adopt elderly dogs, moved by Scooter’s story.

Given that older dogs have only a 25% adoption rate, according to the ASPCA, Scooter’s influence is significant.
