A California gas station had an unusual and persistent visitor—a 500-pound bear with an insatiable craving for candy. This bear’s frequent, brazen incursions were nothing short of remarkable.
It all started when a gas station clerk working the late-night shift encountered the massive bear face-to-face.

Fortunately, the clerk, who had prior experience with bears, managed to shoo the animal away that first night before any significant damage was done. But this was just the beginning.
On subsequent nights, the bear returned with increasing boldness. One evening, it lunged at the clerk, prompting him to allow the bear to take whatever it wanted wisely. The bear’s favorite snack appeared to be Snickers bars, which it grabbed before strolling out.
Another night saw the bear back again, but this time a different clerk was on duty. The bear casually walked in and devoured an entire bag of Three Musketeers.
The clerk, struggling to manage the situation, eventually called for help. When authorities arrived, the bear made off with another snack before disappearing.
The bear’s nightly raids finally ended when the California Department of Fish and Wildlife intervened.
They captured the bear and relocated it to a more suitable environment, relieving the gas station staff and customers who could again visit the store without fear of an unexpected bear encounter.
