The heart-wrenching incident occurred in Pathum Thani, central Thailand, where Nong Horm, the courageous pit bull, encountered a monocled snake in her family’s garden.
Despite being in the final stages of her pregnancy, Nong Horm fearlessly confronted the highly venomous snake, recognized as one of the world’s deadliest species.
Without hesitation, she bit the snake on its lips, allowing the venom to take effect and neutralizing its threat to her owner’s family.
Tragically, Nong Horm succumbed to the snake’s venom in her valiant attempt to safeguard her loved ones.
Suriyon Chanthakhet, the owner, expressed profound regret over losing their beloved dog.
“Our wonderful dog was kil.led while defending us from the snake. My heart is broken. I’m sobbing simply thinking about how much misery she must have felt,” Suriyon shared.
