Joined by his supportive wife, this couple ensured that the puppies found their way to a happier life.
On August 7, 2024, a woman named Viv shared a TikTok video on her account, @vivianaaae, documenting the heartwarming rescue. The video begins with a picture of the front of her husband’s car as he drives, but the accompanying screen text is what captures attention.
Viv’s husband had said, “There’s 3 puppies running on the freeway, I have to save them,” to which Viv encouraged him by saying, “Save them babe, we’ll figure out the rest when you get home.”
While the video does not capture the actual rescue, it does show Viv’s husband returning home with the three rescued puppies safely settled in the passenger seat.
The dogs, appearing to be of mixed breeds, showed varying emotions: two appeared frightened, while one was already snuggling with his rescuer, visibly more at ease.
The video continues to depict the delightful scene of the puppies playing joyfully in the couple’s backyard in Los Angeles, demonstrating the warmth and care they received. The footage concludes with the pups enjoying playful moments with the couple’s Doberman, Canelo.
Viv shared her thoughts in the video caption, stating, “I’ll never understand how people can just dump these sweet little babies, they’re safe now and will forever be taken care of,” indicating the couple’s commitment to the dogs’ welfare.
The day following this rescue, Viv provided an update, showcasing the puppies adjusting well to their new environment.
On August 21, another significant TikTok clip was posted by Viv, revealing the exciting futures awaiting the three canines. In the caption, she explained that they couldn’t keep all three but felt fortunate that each puppy found a loving home.
Viv elaborated, “The baby on the far right went to my boyfriend’s high school friend with a large yard and a Labrador in need of a sibling; he named him Country Boy. The middle pup went to an old friend of mine looking for a companion for her fur baby; she named him Maverick. We kept the one on the far left, named Po, who is loving our home and his new big brother, Canelo!”
Ultimately, this touching tale reached its joyful conclusion, thanks to two devoted individuals who chose compassion over indifference for three defenseless pups.
