In a fortunate turn of events, a group of RV enthusiasts, Vanessa Keating, Theresa Burge, and Aubrey Metropulos, spotted Echo near their campsite in Bulldog Canyon, Arizona.

Concerned about the potential threat from coyotes, the women took it upon themselves to ensure the little dog’s safety, hoping to reunite him with his family.

Initially, Echo was hesitant and growled at the rescuers, unsure of their intentions. However, the women’s calm and kind approach soon won him over.

Vanessa later shared with The Dodo, “He growled at us at first and took some convincing to come over. It only took a few minutes for him to come up to my sister, Theresa, first, but he was still nervous.”

The group noticed that Echo was in distress due to a cholla cactus stuck to his side. They carefully removed the painful spines, relieving Echo instantly. Grateful, Echo showed his appreciation with energetic runs around them and affectionate kisses.
