On a scorching hot day, a young woman in Portugal found herself on an unexpected rescue mission while playing the popular game Pokemon Go. As she wandered past an electricity post, she heard a sound she initially mistook for a bird.
To her surprise, it was a kitten’s desperate cries for help. Sharing her experience on Imgur, she described finding the tiny creature with its head wedged between parts of the post.
It had been stuck for so long that it barely had the energy to cry out, yet its faint meows signaled it was still alive.
Determined to save the kitten, the woman called in the firefighters. Despite devoting an entire day to the rescue, the team struggled to free the trapped animal as every attempted method seemed futile.
Eventually, a breakthrough came when someone suggested using a machine that had previously tilted the top of the post to also raise the bottom.
This ingenious idea worked wonders. “BOOM,” she recounted, “the post busted and there was just enough space for the cat to be free!”
The kitten, initially described as the ‘ugliest cat,’ found its forever home with the woman and her family. Over time, this once helpless feline transformed into a stunning orange beauty.
Reflecting on the rescue, the woman expressed her adoration, saying, “He is the most beautiful cat I have ever seen…I’m in love with him.”
