Candy, a beautiful tortoiseshell cat, spent her early days surviving among a colony of community cats on a business property.
Life outside was tough, and it left her with an injured tail. When she was finally brought to a local vet clinic, it didn’t take long for rescuers to realize Candy wasn’t meant for street life—she craved human affection.

Once her tail healed, Candy was placed with Foster the Furbabies, where her personality truly began to shine.
Gab Cirucci, cofounder of the rescue, took her in and quickly saw just how grateful and loving Candy could be.

On the car ride home, Candy chirped and rubbed against Gab’s fingers through the carrier, already seeking out comfort.
The moment she arrived, she ate heartily and then did something unexpected—she climbed right into Gab’s lap, ready for snuggles and pets like she’d been waiting for that moment her entire life.

It was clear Candy understood she was finally safe. She purred contentedly, kneaded her blanket, and settled into her new cozy surroundings.
After so long on the streets, she wasted no time asking for affection in the most endearing ways—curling into Gab’s lap, holding her hand, and gazing up with the sweetest look.

Candy quickly became a constant shadow, always nearby and eager for love. Though playful when the mood strikes, she’s happiest relaxing, kneading blankets, or sitting in the window watching the world go by.
True to her tortoiseshell nature, she has plenty of sass mixed in with her sweetness—earning her the perfect blend of charm and “tortitude.”

She’s not shy about showing how she feels. Candy adores attention but knows when she’s had enough, signaling with a look or a little huff.
She’s the kind of cat who thrives as the center of attention, preferring a quiet home where she can be queen of the castle.

Recently, Candy even started exploring the rest of the house and, while she still prefers her space, has tolerated the other cats—as long as they respect her rules.
Her favorite place is the big bed she’s claimed as her own, along with a sunny window spot perfect for lazy afternoon naps.

After all she’s endured, Candy is finally living the life she deserves—spoiled, loved, and pampered. She no longer has to fight for survival.
Instead, she fills her days soaking up affection, kneading her blankets, and making it clear she was always meant to be someone’s cherished companion.
