For most of his young life, Majin knew only fear and hunger. Found on the streets, this tabby cat was constantly chased away by other strays, unable to claim a safe place to rest or find a steady meal.
Starving and exhausted, he seemed destined for a life of struggle—until a group of rescue volunteers stepped in and gave him a second chance.
Once rescued, Majin was brought to safety, though his body was frail, and his eyes held the cautious look of a cat who had never known kindness.
That changed when Kate, a volunteer with PuppyKittyNYCity, offered to foster him. She knew he just needed a quiet space and someone patient enough to show him life could be different.
It didn’t take long for Majin to realize he was finally safe. The moment he felt comfortable, he climbed into Kate’s lap as if he’d been waiting for that moment his whole life.
The street cat who once fought for every scrap now purred contentedly, soaking in every bit of love.
Food was his first comfort. He ate hungrily, as if unsure when another meal might come. That food insecurity lingered, but with time, he began learning that his bowl would always be full and his days of going hungry were behind him.
Majin’s personality quickly bloomed. He became playful, curious, and deeply affectionate.
His favorite place was always close to his foster mom—whether curled up on her lap, resting a paw on her for comfort, or trailing her from room to room.
He even started learning tricks like high-five and sit, eager to impress and connect.
Kate described him as the perfect companion—affectionate, talkative, and endlessly sweet. Majin discovered the joys of cat trees, food puzzles, and soft beds, finally able to enjoy life without fear.
And while he’s not interested in making friends with the resident cat, he thrives when he’s the center of attention.
At just two years old, Majin is healthy, happy, and ready for the forever home he’s always deserved. With his soft, glossy fur and his love for snuggles, he’s left his days of running scared far behind.
Now, he’s a playful lap cat who simply wants a family to call his own.
